Overview

If plant rates are not appearing in your Daily Diary (Plant Issue subform), it’s usually due to one of the following:

  • Recent updates in Workbench not yet syncing to Upvise
  • Equipment being created directly in Upvise instead of Workbench
  • Sync delays or incomplete data updates

Steps to Troubleshoot

  1. Perform a Manual Data Sync

    • Use the manual data sync function in the Upvise Integration page in workbench to sync the latest updates to Upvise.
    • Select Plant Items and Plant Groups, Regions & Rates rates in the manual data sync options.
    • Click SYNC
  2. Verify Rate Updates

    • Confirm that the plant rates have successfully updated after the manual sync.
  3. Create a Daily Diary for Testing

    • Create a new daily diary entry to confirm that updates are reflected correctly.
  4. Add a Plant Item

    • Add the relevant plant item to the diary to verify its functionality.
  5. Check Plant Rate Availability in plant issue subform

    • Ensure that the plant rate is visible and accurate in the daily diary.

Common Cause: Equipment Created in Upvise

Plant rates will only display for equipment that:

  • Is created in Workbench, and
  • Has synced through the integration

If equipment is created directly in Upvise, rates will not appear in the daily diary.

How to Fix Upvise-Created Equipment

If you have equipment created directly in Upvise, follow these steps:

Step-by-step fix

  1. In Upvise, open the equipment item
  2. Update the Equipment ID to append it with a unique identifier. For example, ABC001 bay be renamed to something like:
    ABC001_INVALID (or similar)
  3. Save the change
  4. In Workbench:
    • Go to Upvise Integration
    • Run a Manual Data Sync (Plant)
  5. After syncing:
    • The correct Workbench-managed equipment will appear in Upvise
    • Archive the original (invalid) Upvise-created records

Outcome

This ensures:

  • Equipment is correctly aligned with Workbench
  • Plant rates are available in the Daily Diary as expected

Best Practices:

  • Hourly Sync: New plant items and rates added in Workbench should automatically sync to Upvise during the scheduled hourly sync.
  • Manual Sync: If plant rates are not available immediately, perform a manual data sync to expedite the process.
  • Testing: After syncing, create a daily diary and add a plant item to confirm the updates are applied.
