Clearing the cache on your mobile device can free up space and resolve performance issues. Here's how you can do it on Apple (iOS) and Android devices:
Apple Devices (iPhone/iPad):
Apple devices do not allow users to clear the app cache directly. Instead, you can clear the cache by either offloading apps or using the browser's settings.
Option 1: Clear Safari Cache
- Open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
Option 2: Offload Apps
- Open Settings.
- Go to General > iPhone Storage.
- Select the app you want to offload.
- Tap Offload App. This removes the app but keeps its data. Reinstalling the app may clear its cache.
Option 3: Reinstall Apps
- Long-press the app on your home screen.
- Tap Remove App > Delete App.
- Reinstall the app from the App Store.
Android Devices:
Most Android devices allow you to clear the cache directly from the settings.
