The "Get Log" button in Upvise Jobs requires a valid API token from Workbench to function correctly. This token is generated via the Workbench Upvise Integration page and is valid for 12 months. 


However, in some cases, such as after a server restart where Workbench or Upvise is hosted, the token may expire early.

If the token has expired, in Upvise when clicking "Get Log No", you will see this warning: 

To resolve this issue, a system admin or finance user in Workbench will need to re-authorise the API token by following these steps:

  1. Log into Workbench.

  2. Navigate to the Upvise Integration page.

  3. Select the relevant Finco.

  4. Click the "Authorise API" button.

  5. You will see a confirmation message "Status : API token successfully exported to Upvise. Expires on xxxx date "

  6. Log out of Upvise, then log back in.

  7. Retry the "Get Log" function on a new job in Upvise. The log number should now populate correctly.

Note: If you don’t have access to Workbench, the log number will be generated automatically during the next scheduled hourly sync until you can arrange for a system administrator to re-generate the token.
