Overview
In Upvise, users can reset their passwords either by using the "forgot password" function or through administrative actions by Upvise Administrators. This article outlines the two methods for resetting passwords in the Upvise system.
Getting Started
There are two main ways to reset a password in Upvise:
- User-Initiated Reset (Forgot Password)
- Administrator-Initiated Reset (For Upvise Administrators)
User-Initiated Password Reset
Users who have forgotten their password can request a reset directly from Upvise:
- Navigate to: https://s3.upvise.com/
- Enter the email address associated with your Upvise account.
- Click the Upvise "Forgot Password" link
- Follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.
Administrator-Initiated Password Reset
Upvise Administrators can reset passwords for any user within the platform by following these steps:
Go to “Manage Users”:
In the left pane of the Upvise dashboard, click on “Manage Users.”Select the User:
From the list of users, click on the user whose password you would like to reset.Edit the User:
Click on the pencil icon next to the user’s name to edit their details.Change Password:
Select “Change Password” from the options available.Enter New Password:
Type in the new password for the user and click “Save” to apply the change.Confirmation:
A pop-up message will appear confirming that the password has been successfully changed.
Additional Information
- Password changes are effective immediately after the reset is completed.
- Ensure that the new password follows the security guidelines set by your organization.
- If a user is unable to access their email or needs further assistance, please contact the system administrator.
